There are so many neat things
about my internship; I can’t really think of anything I am not excited about!
I suppose what
I’m looking forward to most would have to be meeting the little ones of the El Roi Baby Home! I have been following all of their stories and praying for them
ever since they opened their doors last year. It will be so incredible to get to know
each of them while I put together biographies for them. I’m also very excited to be
living on the Project Canaan farm; I am studying locally based agriculture in
college, so the prospect of one farm feeding a small country is really cool & intriguing to me.
Since I am a huge TOMS fan, I am looking forward to seeing the other
side of the “One for One” campaign as I give shoes to those who have none and write reports about the process. And finally, I can’t wait to learn more about and be a part of the
Feed My Starving Children program that, in partnership with HFA, serves 74,000
hot meals to children every week.
If you couldn’t already tell, I
really can’t wait!!!
